    Where did you obtainted your bachelor’s degree?
    Timur:
    I graduated from the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

    Why did you choose "Intelligent systems" as your master’s?
    Timur:
    During my bachelor’s degree, I enjoyed the thematics of artificial intelligence. As I studied it, I became more and more interested in specific mathematical disciplines. Most of these disciplines are components of the program "Intelligent systems".
  • М.:
    Wide range of branches of sciences are covered in the program "Intelligent systems". Could you, please, emphasize your own field of occupation?
    Timur:
    I am interested in machine learinig, neural networks, mathematical statistics, algorithms and combinatorial optimization.
  • М.:
    It may be too early to discuss the master’s thesis right now, during the first year of studying, however, could you tell us something about your research problem?
    Timur:
    My current research is in computer vision. As well as I have wide range of interests, I may not name the topic of my master's thesis: I have not decided yet. The faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics provides student a
    plenty of various problems and projects to choose from.

    The first term of your master’s is over. What is your favorite subject of the first term?
    Timur:
    In fact, I enjoyed all the subjects.
  • М.:
    Are you a member of any funding program?
    Timur:
    Yes, I have an increased academic scholarship.
  • М.:
    Do you still have opportunity to engage in a hobby, or may be do you practice any kind of sports?
    Timur:
    Yes, I do. Exercising helps me stay active.
  • М.:
    How was your first exam's session experience?
    Timur:
    It was quite difficult, however I am glad to take in useful knowledge.
  • М.:
    Could you, please, leave a wish for the Universiade-2024 participants?
    Timur:
    I advise you to take part in the Universiade, it’s interesting. The jury members are friendly, and you have a good chance to take a prize. I wish you success!
